Description
What Is the Zero Resistance Throttle Tube?
The Zero Resistance Throttle is a U.S. patented dual-bearing throttle assembly engineered to eliminate friction, binding, and premature wear found in traditional throttle tubes.
Unlike plastic throttle tubes that rely on direct contact with the handlebar — creating drag over time — the ZRT throttle rides on precision bearings, delivering ultra-smooth, consistent throttle control for the life of your bike.
This is the Bark Buster–compatible version, featuring a Rulon® J bearing bar-end system designed to work seamlessly with traditional handguard setups.
How the U.S. Patented Dual Bearing System Works
At the core of the ZRT throttle is a U.S. patented dual radial ball bearing design:
-
One sealed radial bearing inside the throttle housing, protected from dirt and debris
-
One precision bearing at the bar end, mounted via a reverse-expansion collet system
When installed, the throttle tube bottoms against the bearing, not the handlebar. As the throttle is pushed or pulled, the bearing transfers load directly into the bar — not the tube.
The result:
-
Zero bar-to-tube friction
-
No throttle drag under load
-
No wear to the handlebar or tube
-
A solid, damage-resistant throttle end
This creates an ultra-smooth, positive throttle action that remains consistent ride after ride.
Why Traditional Throttle Tubes Fail
With conventional plastic throttle tubes, any rider input — pushing, pulling, or bracing against the throttle — creates friction. Over time, this friction:
-
Wears the throttle tube
-
Deteriorates the handlebar
-
Increases drag and inconsistency
-
Reduces throttle feel without the rider realizing it
We’ve already solved this problem in other controls — modern clutches are hydraulic for a reason. The ZRT throttle applies the same thinking to throttle control: remove friction entirely.
By isolating the throttle tube on bearings, friction is eliminated. Throttle effort is reduced. Control improves.
Bark Buster Compatibility — Now Better Than Ever
This version of the ZRT throttle is designed specifically for Bark Buster and traditional handguard systems.
With our latest design:
-
No cutting
-
No grinding
-
No guesswork
The throttle tube features a precision-machined bar-end bearing that integrates cleanly with Bark Buster-style handguards, allowing proper clamping and alignment with zero modification.
The bar end uses a Rulon® J bearing interface, chosen for its:
-
Exceptional wear resistance
-
Low friction under load
-
Long service life in dirty, high-impact environments
Built to Take Abuse
Yes — it’s tough. Tough as nails.
The ZRT throttle is CNC-machined from billet aluminum and tested in real off-road conditions by riders who don’t baby their equipment. Many of our test riders run exposed throttle ends with roost guards and need a throttle that won’t fail in a crash.
This design creates a solid throttle end that resists impact damage, making it ideal for aggressive off-road, enduro, and motocross use.
Maintenance-Free Performance
The Zero Resistance Throttle is virtually maintenance-free.
Occasionally:
-
Remove the throttle
-
Clean with contact cleaner
-
Lightly re-lubricate with a few drops of oil
That’s it.
Your throttle will be smooth as butter again — and stay that way.
Once You Ride It, You’ll Never Go Back
By eliminating friction you don’t see, the U.S. patented ZRT dual-bearing throttle delivers smoother control, reduced fatigue, and more consistent throttle response.
Riders report improved feel immediately — and once you experience it, going back to a standard throttle tube simply isn’t an option.
