What is the The Zero Resistance Throttle Tube?
The Zero Resistance Throttle is a revolutionary new Patented Dual Bearing Throttle assembly.
How does it work? Simply put, there are 2 radial ball bearings on each end of the tube. One located inside the throttle housing and one on the end of the handle bars. The bearing on the end of the bars gets mounted via a reveres expatiation collet design that will give the bearing a good solid connection to the handle bar. This also creates a special bottoming point for the throttle tube. When the throttle gets pushed against the bearing, the bearing in turn pushes against the handle bars. This creates a solid throttle end that cannot be damaged. And gives the throttle assembly ultra smooth action and life long longevity. This throttle assembly will be smooth for the rest or your bikes life.
Unlike traditional plastic throttle tubes, the weight of the rider either pushing or pulling on the throttle will create “friction”. The longer this goes on, the more the throttle and handle bars deteriorate. The rider may not realize this over time but it is definitely a problem that needed to be addressed. All of our controls should be as smooth as possible. Look at the evolution of the clutch. Most of them are hydraulic now and require only one finger to pull in. This is how we gain speed. If we insert two bearings here, the friction is eliminated, making your throttle assembly ultra smooth. And, it is virtually a maintenance free product. Once in a while, take the throttle off and clean with contact cleaner. Then re lube with some 3-1 oil. Thats it. Your throttle tube will be smooth as butta again.
Is it tough? Oh yes it is. It is tough as nails. And, it has been tested by the best that the North East Off Road scene has to offer. Just ask guys like Johnny Girror, Kyle Hangos, Jason Connell, Curt White, Pro National MX Rider Corey Ridel Pro and the list goes on and on. All these guys run roost guards. Their Throttle end is exposed and they need a reliable throttle that will not break on them if they crash.
Can you use Bark Busters? Yes. We make a special bar end out of Stainless Steel specifically for Bark Busters. Just take the throttle tube end cap off and you can run Bark Busters. We also offer our GP Bar Ends to. They are Aluminum Bar End Protectors that utilize the same reveres expansion collet set up. Super strong and will protect your bars and throttle.
Our Patented Dual Bearing Throttle assembly can help you shave seconds to minutes off your lap times by reducing the friction you do not see. Once your ride with a Zero Resistance Throttle, you will never go back.
